Marks and gaps amalgamating to represent a figure.

Figure, using mark techniques of intersecting lines and rapid strokes to again explore ideas of how marks may be used to push beyond traditional ideas of form and learned ways of approaching a subject. These are experimental drawings in an area that I am very unfamiliar with but each drawing is about freeing up my approach and discovering new things and possibilities.

The 'shape' tends to emerge from the gaps between the marks rather than from the marks themselves. This is an instinctive process rather than me having any formal idea of where the drawing might end.
