Grid as underlying structure, keeping disparate elements harmonious.

Grid background structure to graphic design idea, maintaining a coherence despite diverse content.

Finished graphic held by grid relationships but not necessarily giving that impression.

This is an example of using the grid to keep structure between elements that at initial sight seem hard to find a balance for. The guides provide a background order which then help a finished piece, with many varying elements, maintain a harmony despite what might seem confusing initially.

I undertook a sample idea for an advertisement for a gallery exhibition and used one font face and various images that I had photographed for the project to collate as a final graphic piece.
